Friends,
Here is my favorite Iraqi food which I cooked; Dolma.
I tell you what it was delicious and wish that you all were here to share it with my husband and I...
I wish that dad was here, he would have been proud of his daughter watching her backing and cooking in her mini kitchen...
Enjoy pictures :)

Hello Marshmallow,
That looks good indeed.
Do you use grape leaves, cabbage, zucchini or okra in your dolma, as there are many different types of dolma?
My mother used to make a sort of dolma like dish with peppers, when I was growing up.
Well, I hope someday you will have your own Iraqi restaurant, perhaps you could hook up with a Chinese chef and have an Iraqi-Chinese place - Dim Sum Baghdad )))
Well, I am making homemade pizzas either Thursday or Friday. I already made the sauce, and Mr. Breadmachine will make the dough )))
And then I will go outside and lift up the cow and shake her around in the hot sun to make the mozzarella cheese )))
It is amazing all the things we get from milk, if you think about it, Marshmallow. There's cream, ice cream, curds, whey, yogurt, sour cream, cheese, alcohol (in Mongolia, they drink fermented mare's milk - the horses are pretty annoyed that they drink it straight from the tap)))...
الف عافية ساندي هاي بوسة مني هم الج موااه
Hi Mr. GHOST,
you are funny..
yea its true as a matter of fact and while I'm typing my comment now with my right hand, i am holding with my left hand a big glass of banana juice with milk yum yum.
Marshmallow!
I'm delighted to see these photos, I've been wondering how it's been for you in the states, I guess I have to read your previous post to catch up, I know I've been such a horrible fellow blogger :|

That looks very good. Do you find American stores have all the ingredients you are used to having back home or do you have to substitute some things?
I hope you are getting more adjusted to life here and I also hope you find the perfect job soon. That is bound to make everything seem much better. Good luck!
Grrrrr! Girl you're lucky I've got a good breakfast cooking in the kitchen or I'd be saying terrible things to you about posting pics of such delicious food!! : D
I hope you and your husband get a chance to do a bit of traveling around the U.S. one of these days. There are some amazing things to see...I mean besides Mr. Ghost shaking a cow to get mozzarella cheese ; )
Walk in Beauty, Solo
Look good but taste must be awful. Meat and vegetables quality is poor in America. Meat is not meat but maize there. I would't put that my mouth. Everything in supremarket is poisoned for herbicide in America. You should come back in Europe as soon as you can Marshmallow
What delicious Dolma in strange country
Average American,
How are you? Thanks for your comment...I have almost found everything here except there is no "Leia" here...there is an extra greasy part at the end of the lamb's back which is all about grease not meat. That is only exists in Iraqi lambs. we use lil bit of the leia and mix it with the meat it gives the food such a delicious taste yummy.
Hi Solo,
hahah that is funny..how about sour cream? :)
Hi سحاب
Welcome here to my blog. I will not stop cooking Iraqi dishes no matter where I go :)
Did you find it easier relying on Christ in Iraq, or in the U.S.?
