I couldn't stand my self sitting like that, I opened my purse and handed him some money. If I would I could do more for him. so the rest of the people they gave him money.
As he was going to leave he turned back at me and pointed to the word "Thank you!" on the card and gave me a symbolic kiss.
The card has some signs and symbols that are designated for deaf people...but what really graped my attention was some signs regarding the current situation in Iraq.
Some symbols have been added like Al-Sadir city, Al-Adhamya, Bab-Almu'adham, police station, etc.
Hmmm, even deaf people now are watching the news on their special way.
But what cracked me up is the sign of USA, they put two hands shooting like pistols referring to Texas or so...LOL.
On the back of the card is the emblem of Deaf-mute society and the word "Thank you!"
While at the bottom the word "Good Luck"
Well I wish that our gov. takes care of those people instead of letting them to make their own living.

I don't see anything wrong with him making his own living...he probably does better from people like you than the Gov.
All the Gov. should do is make laws that say no one can discriminate aganst him if he wants a regular job, like everyone else.

I just hope things settle down there one these days so the guy can make his own living. .We've all seen people with handicaps do some remarkable things, the only real handicap being what we let our minds allow. Back when I used to make jewelry I worked in a shop with a deaf Navajo guy. Now when I don't have my glasses on things are kind of blurry and I'd have to put 'em on when he signed at me across the room. I told him it was pretty funny that they'd put a blind guy in the same room with a deaf guy. He got a kick out of that. See ya later, Solo
I had a guy come to my work place today. He was handing out the same card, expect the wording was slightly different and it didn't have what organization, if any, had had it printed.
Someone in my building thought he was suspicious and called the security guards to investigate. They found him, talked to him, and made him leave.
Someone had said he had taken stuff, but since he wasn't arrested, I don't think he did.
I know that he is deaf and mute, but I imagine that there is something out there that the guy could do, instead of soliciting people. I hope everything for him turns out okay.
